Majestic Bungalow Colony started out as Weinstein's Health Farm in the late 1930's. The city folks would go "up to the country" for fresh eggs and fresh air. There were four bungalows and a hotel downtown. In midtown there were kitchens set up for the guests to cook. In those days, there were outhouses and outdoor showers.
A chicken coop and thousands of chickens were located where the camp house was, by the Pines.
The pool, casino, elbow room and uptown was not even an idea at the time.
The falls was used for swimming, and there was a well for some ice cold water.
Enjoy the trip down memory lane, and please sign the guest book.
